Frequently Asked Questions
When are tickets on sale?
All tickets go on sale at 11am, Wednesday 12 July.
How do I get tickets?
Tickets are available via this website, see instructions below.
Alternatively, visit one of the BIFF box offices: at The Regent on the Queen Street Mall, or in the foyer of the Southbank Cineplex. For more details on tickets see the Prices and Passes page.
Box office hours will vary during the Festival period depending on scheduled sessions. To download the list of box office hours click here.
For questions about the programme, schedule and how to book, please call the BIFF telephone information line on (07) 3007 3007. Please note: as of 5:00pm, Friday 28 July, bookings can no longer be made over the phone.
Telephone information line hours are:
- 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday
- 11am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday
These hours may be subject to change during the Festival period, depending on demand.
How do I register to book online?
Click on the ‘Join’ button on the left hand sidebar of the BIFF site and enter your details. Now when you revisit the site, all you will need to do is log in with your email address and password.
How do I book online?
Once you have registered and logged in (see above), click on the ‘Box office now open’ button in the top left corner of the BIFF site, search for the film(s) you are interested in and click ‘book now’.
How many tickets are remaining for that film?
With the wonderful new online ticketing system we have, a ‘low ticket' warning will appear with films where there are only a limited number of tickets still available.
When all tickets to a session have been sold a ‘sold out' message will appear and you will not be able to purchase further tickets to this session.
The best idea is to get in quick to make sure you don't miss seeing that film that you may never get to see on the big screen again!
