Back to top Registering passes online If you've purchased a pass at the box office we recommend that, whether you intend to redeem it online or offline, you register it online at the Festival site. Why? Until you register your pass it is like cash. There is nothing to say it belongs to a specific person. If you drop it in the street, anyone can pick it up and use it. We will have no way of knowing it wasn't you. By registering your pass online, you link it to your profile. When the pass is used, the person using it must be identified as being the proper pass holder before they can make a transaction. It's an extra level of security to give you piece of mind. Passes purchased online are automatically linked to your profile. To register a pass: 1. Logon to the site and sign in. If you are not registered you will need to do so first. 2. Click on PASSES 3. Enter the PASS NUMBER into the space provided, and click REGISTER. 4. The pass is now linked to your profile. Back to top A note on concessions We are pleased to offer concession pricing to specified groups. Please note that concessions only apply to the cardholder and are not transferable. Every time tickets or passes are collected from the box-office, patrons must provide appropriate ID to obtain the concession. If you are picking up tickets on behalf of other people, you will need to have their concession cards with you. Back to top Equity and Access Policy The Pacific Film & Television Commission (PFTC) supports the rights of all people as set out in the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act (1991) and the Commonwealth Disability Discrimination Act (1992). This acknowledges the right of equal access to all Services, Support, Information, Training, Festivals and Events supported by the PFTC. The PFTC recognises that its legal responsibilities cover the areas of: - access to industry training and development
- access to festival and events
- the provision of services
- employment
- the provision of information
As part of this commitment, the PFTC will endeavour to provide equal access for all users of activities under its jurisdiction in Queensland. In relation to services, the PFTC will ensure that all staff have adequate support and training to provide services and information accessible to all people - and that agents, contractors and partners to the PFTC shall be required to deliver outcomes consistent with this policy. In the area of access to specific programs, the PFTC will ensure its outcomes are designed and constructed to provide equal access for all users. The PFTC, in its role as an employer, will ensure all people have equal access to advertised positions, interviews, equipment, office accommodation, staff training and promotion. The PFTC recognises that to effectively provide equal access to all people it will have to review practices in all areas of its operations. This will require a commitment from all PFTC units to provide equal access in their area of responsibility. Back to top The Pacific Film and Television Commission undertakes to adopt a liberal booking policy, which can be incorporated, to the arrangements made for all performances. The following is based on a general seating configuration and is adapted to individual auditorium seating plans as applicable. (Attachments 1-4) It should be noted that in some instances, as with the heritage listed ‘Regent' cinema, not all auditoriums have wheel-chair access. However, the same policy will apply for these auditoriums for mobility impaired patrons who can negotiate stairs. Typical preferences : For the typical range of performances, bookings will generally be on the first come first serve basis for the best available choice of seats. Up until one week before a performance, or until all other general seats have been booked, whichever comes first, all accessible positions will be reserved for patrons with mobility impairment. From one week til 48 hrs before a performance, or until all other seats are booked, whichever comes first, one half of all accessible seats previously reserved for wheelchair or mobility impaired patrons and their companions is to be sold on a first come first served basis. From 48 hrs before a screening till curtain open , all but one, previously held mobility impaired seat and its companion seat will be reserved. The remainder seats will be available for booking by any patron on a first comes first serve basis. Full House arrangements further to the above, will be that as soon as all non accessible positions in the auditorium are sold, accessible positions will be available to all patrons and sold on a first come first serve basis. Opening Night and Special Events Where management elects to reserve the accessible seats as sponsor or guest seats not for sale to patrons, one half of the accessible positions will be regarded as special house seats reserved for mobility-impaired patrons. These seats will be retained for sale to mobility-impaired patrons until: - all other seats are sold or taken as house seats
- the seats are required as additional house seats for mobility impaired guests
- 48 hrs prior to opening night all will be released but one. This seat to be held until curtain open.
Accompanying Companions: In all above cases, in order to preserve accessible positions for those requiring them, a reasonable limit needs to be established for the maximum number of able-bodied personal accompanying a mobility-impaired patron. This would be identified under management direction with consideration given to each auditorium-seating plan. Back to top -
