THE FILMS
The main film programme includes a
wide variety of themes to suit all tastes. BIFF presents
some of the best cinematic work produced around the
globe, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.
As well as
the best in contemporary world cinema we screen a number
of retrospective
titles and host several special
event screenings. There's a special programme of
children's
films and even some free
events.
There are a number
of ways you can get information about the films screening
in this year's programme.
This
Site:
The BIFF website
is a great source of information about all the films
screening.
Each feature
length film has a publicity still, detailed review,
short synopsis and full production information published
on the site. Where possible links to official sites
are provided. There's also information about the short
films screening, and all of it can be browsed by searching
our film database.
The best part
about browsing online is the capacity to save your own
customised programme by using the My
Festival feature to save the films you are interested
in. There's also a direct link to the secure online
booking system.

The
Booking Guide:
The free booking
guide, available from the Box Office, contains a brief
synopsis of all the films in the main programme, along
with some details about retrospective titles and special
events. It also contains everything you need to know
about booking tickets!
The
Catalogue:
For real film-buffs
and Festival regulars, the Souvenir Catalogue is the
bible. It contains everything you could possibly want
to know about the Festival and is a great piece of memorabilia
to boot. Catalogues can be purchased
online or at the box office.
