The Australian Children's Film Festival (ACFF), presented by the Pacific Film and Television Commission, in conjunction with the AAPT Cellular One 11th Brisbane International Film Festival, brings the world to Brisbane! The Children's Film Festival will feature five films from around the world, targeted at nine to twelve year olds, presented over five days at the Greater Union Hoyts Regent Theatre, Queen Street Mall.

We invite you and your children to attend premieres of films that you may never get the chance to see again. The Festival presents fascinating films that are fun and educational addressing issues of cultural diversity, value clarification, and character building. After screenings, children can be engaged in discussions with filmmakers and Festival personnel.

The Children's Film Festival is far more than just a festival. In a world filled with violent and exploitative media, the Australian Children's Film Festival aims to focus entirely on the positive aspects of film - by seeking out and exposing children to a world of humanistic films for children, which engage their imaginations, spark their creativity and respect their intelligence.

Two special weekend screenings will be held: Hildegarde on Sunday 14 July at 2:30pm and A Children's Midsummer Night's Dream on Sunday 21 July at 11:50am.

Films will be screened at 10am each day from 15 to 19 July 2002 at a special price of only $4 per child and one teacher/parent per ten students/children will receive free admission to the Festival.
