There are almost 300 films to choose from, coming from as far a field as India, Ireland and Greece. There are previews of films that will be amongst the big hits in cinema in the next twelve months and there are wild, experimental pieces that push the boundaries of what we understand as cinema. We have docos, shorts, comedies and dramas. We have gorgeous genre-flicks and we have astounding, creative films that defy definition! Back to top Ticket Options Festival patrons can buy either single tickets or special passes (which offer varying discounts to off-peak sessions, patrons eligible for concession as well as non-concession, general admission). To get the most out of your Festival dollar, pay special attention to our TICKET CODES. Back to top Online Ticketing Avoid queing at the box-office by purchasing your tickets online. Our online transaction processing system is a fully secure system provided by the Commonwealth Bank. If you do have concerns about making purchases online, you can still save time by purchasing a pass at the box office or over the phone, then using the online system to redeem your pass for specific sessions. Priority Seating reserves seats in the cinema for your film, so you can relax at the bar or enjoy a meal in one of Brisbane's fine restaurants instead of standing in the queue. Purchase Priority Seating tickets for $16.00 each or pay $6 to upgrade your Take 5 ticket. Priority Seating is available at all sessions except those marked S or O in the ticket guide. We cannot offer you choice of seating at this time, but will reserve you the best seats in the house! Back to top Cine Sparks (The Australian Film Festival for Young People) Cine Sparks will allow Brisbane children and young adults the chance to see some of the world's best cinema made especially for them. While these are the only sessions people under 18 years of age are allowed to attend at BIFF, the good news is they get to go free.
