Ticket Information

Classification

Under 18s (including babies) are not permitted to any festival screening except where we indicate the film has been classified or has received a classification exemption.  Proof-of-age ID will be required.

Concessions

Concession cards must be shown when purchasing tickets at the box office, at the cinema doors and on request.  Concession ticket holders without valid identification will be refused entry.

Concessions are available to World Cinema Club members, full-time students, pensioners, unemployed, seniors and members of ACS, AFI, ASDA, AWG, IF, MEAA, QPIX and SPAA.  Concession prices apply only to the cardholder and are not transferrable.

Special Needs Access

Tribal Theatre does not have wheelchair access.

Palace Barracks and Palace Centro has wheelchair access and infrared hearing systems, to use this facility please see box office staff.

Loved It or Loathed It – Showtime Movie ChannelsTop 10

At each feature length screening you will receive a voting slip for the Showtime Movie Channels Audience Top 10 Awards – the people’s choice awards of the Brisbane International Film Festival.  Please take the time to vote.  The winning features will be announced in the week after BIFF.

Entry

A valid barcoded ticket must be presented for entry to all sessions.

Latecomers

Festival sessions will start at the advertised times.  For the comfort of those already seated, latecomers will only be admitted at the discretion of the BIFF ushers.  Please respect our Front of House attendants’ directions.

Tickets

Tickets that do not scan or produce duplicate scans will result in refusal of entry.

Booking Fees

Phone and online bookings require a valid credit card (Visa or MasterCard only).

Phone and online bookings incur a $2 booking fee.

Tickets are non-refundable but can be exchanged for a $3 fee before the session starts.

Pre-booked tickets can be collected from any venue by the credit card holder on presentation of a booking number or credit card.

Passes are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
